For the past century, Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), a European modality has been used in the finest spas and clinics of Lymphology for lymphatic wellness. It is the modality of choice to improve lymphatic flow and filtration especially when a conservative approach is physician recommended. Refined and researched by Dr. Vodder, MLD is one of the only modalities expressly designed to deliver benefits to the lymphatic system without use of drugs of surgery. The Treatment

The first visit will be an explanation of how lymphatic system works and thorough consultation where the following areas will be addressed: medical history, current symptoms, diet, exercise and lifestyle. Based on this information the frequency and duration of the treatment sessions will be discussed. Most conditions need nutritional guidelines with specific diet plans to achieve the best results.  This matter will be discussed upon your first visit.

The Lymphatic System

Detoxification begins and ends in the lymphatic system. The divine design of this system is to transport nutrients throughout the body while at the same time eradicate toxins from it. Better know as the immune system, a compromised system lends itself to illness. Like a car requiring a filter change to prevent sluggish performance and breakdown, so too the lymphatic system is in need of scheduled maintenance for peak performance.

The Lymph

The lymph is colorless fluid similar to the blood. Its main functions are:
To break down harmful substances (waste products, viruses, bacteria,  cancer cells).
To transport nutrients, vitamins, hormones, etc. throughout the body.
To strengthen the body’s immune system by producing white blood cells.
To eliminate excess fluid from the tissues.

The Nodes (Glands)

The lymph nodes are cleansing stations, situated along the source of lymphatic vessels, which swell up when the body is ill. The nodes filter out and destroy toxic material collected from the body via the lymph. During the course of any infection, the nodes become enlarged, often painful and inflamed. The nodes are located in the neck, the armpits, abdomen and the groin; they most commonly swell up in the course of a disease.
